Crunchyroll Unveils Plans at Evo Fighting Game Tournament in Las Vegas in Early August

Crunchyroll announced its plans for the upcoming Evolution Championship Series (Evo) in Las Vegas from August 4, 2023 to August 6, 2023. The company will partner with Evo to host DJ performances, games, special guest appearances, and many more immersive experiences. 

Crunchyroll will boost its presence at Evo with an interactive booth at #K1, promoting its latest mobile game, Street Fighter: Duel. The booth features many popular anime touchpoints, games, music, and merchandise. It also includes: 

  • • Subscriber Super Arcade featuring Street Fighter: Duel, where Crunchyroll subscribers have the chance to win amazing prizes all weekend long. 
  • • Free Live Performances featuring an exciting lineup of artists and DJs performing for free all weekend long. The performer lineup includes K?D, Shihori, James Landino, Meirlin, Hyper Potions, VGR, and Kino, among other anime and gaming themed acts. 
  • • Interactive Photo Ops: photo ops interactive digital booth featuring characters from hit series, including Spy x Family, Hell’s Paradise, The Ancient Magus’ Bride, and Jujutsu Kaisen
  • • Free swag from the most popular anime streaming on Crunchyroll.
  • • Crunchyroll merchandise available at Evo for the first time. 

More announcements on details for gaming collaborations and events will be announced at the booth later on.  

Evo will be held at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino from 10 AM to 11 PM from August 4-6, with the finals taking place in the Michelob ULTRA Arena, which has sold out all available seating.  Doors will open at 8:30 AM on August 4-5 and 9 AM on August 6. Tickets can be purchased at Evo’s official website. The full schedule and visiting vendors and exhibitors will be announced later this month.

Evo represents the largest and longest-running fighting game tournaments on Earth, bringing together the best of the best from around the world in an electric showcase of skill and fun. Fighting game players and fans gather to honor the competitive spirit in an open bracket format. It was founded in 2002 after a series of local arcade tournaments run by Tom and Tony Cannon were first held in 1996.
