Shortly after its series finale, the production team for the Bocchi the Rock! anime has launched a special collaboration website with musical instrument brands Yamaha, Steinberg, Ampeg, and Marshall. The website showcases many of the electric guitars, basses, amplifiers, and audio interfaces used by Hitori Gotou and her friends throughout the anime.
The first featured instrument is Gotou’s signature PACIFICA611 Yamaha electric guitar that she uses to perform and record her songs. It is part of Yamaha’s overall PAC600 electric guitar line that has been developed since 1990. Guitars from the PAC100, PAC200, PAC300, series are also highlighted.
Other musical equipment that were highlighted include Kikuri Hiroi’s TRB1004J electric bass, Hitori Gotou’s Yamaha Amplifier THR5, Yamaha THR30II Wireless Amplifier, Steinberg Audio I/O (audio interface) device, Ampeg Amplifier, and Marshall JCM Series Amplifier.
If people want to get their hands on a real-life custom-made version of Gotou’s PACIFICA611 electric guitar, Yamaha Guitar Japan is holding a special social media campaign, running from December 24, 2022 to January 9, 2023. Two lucky winners will be awarded one PACIFICA611 guitar each, which is not currently sold anywhere else.
Contest participants must live in Japan and follow the official Twitter accounts of both Yamaha Guitar Japan and Bocchi the Rock!. They will then need to retweet the following tweet below. Winners will be contacted via DM from Yamaha Guitar Japan’s Twitter account around January 11, 2023. The guitars will then be shipped off between late March to early April 2023.
