Bocchi the Rock! Releases Post-Finale Trailer

The Bocchi the Rock! anime adaptation, which recently came to an end, has received a lengthy five-minute “main” trailer that allows fans to relive Hitori “Bocchi” Gotoh’s journey as a member of Kessoku Band.

The trailer is accompanied by the song “Flashbacker,” the 13th track from the upcoming Kessoku Band album that will be released on December 28.

Bocchi the Rock! premiered on October 8 and ended with 12 episodes. It is an adaptation of the Houbunsha-published 4-koma manga by Aki Hamaji. The story follows Hitori, a lonely girl who becomes a skilled guitar player. Her life starts to change a little when she is invited to join a band led by the cheerful drummer Nijika Ijichi.

The anime was directed by Keiichiro Saitou (ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept. – Regards co-director, Sonny Boy episode director et al.) as director, Erika Yoshida (ArtiswitchTower of God) as series composer and scriptwriter, and Kerorira (Wonder Egg Priority animation weapon design, animation director et al.; CHARMS!! 1st ANIMATION PV director and character designer) as character designer. CloverWorks is the animation production company.

Other staff include Yuusuke Yamamoto (My Senpai is Annoying ending director, Asteroid in Love opening director) as assistant director, Yuusuke Kawakami (Wonder Egg Priority action director) as director of the live performance sequences, Yuuki Itou (Takt Op.Destiny director) as the live performances’ animator, Asuka Yokota (Akebi’s Sailor Uniform) as color designer, Yasunao Moriyasu (Akebi’s Sailor Uniform co-art director) as art director, Tsubasa Kanamori (My Dress-Up Darling) as photography director, and Tomoki Kikuya (Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World) as music composer.

Meanwhile, the main cast includes Yoshino Aoyama as Hitori, Sayumi Suzushiro as Nijika, Saku Mizuno as Ryo Yamada, and Ikumi Hasegawa as Ikuyo Kita. 

The Bocchi the Rock! manga began in 2018 and released its fifth tankoubon volume in November 2022. It is serialized in Manga Time Kirara Max magazine and published under the Manga Time KR Comics label.
