Milan Records has released a new single and EP from the slice-of-life school anime Akebi’s Sailor Uniform. The new single called “hem -After Party version-” is performed by Japanese composer Utatanekana. They also released a new mini-album titled The Beginning of Setsuna (Hajimari no Setsuna) / Baton EP.
Utatanekana’s “hem -After Party version-” is a newly recorded version of the same song sung by Shuka Saitou as the character Miki Fukumoto. It was included as the title track in Saitou’s hem EP, alongside five additional songs covered by the voice actress.
Meanwhile, The Beginning of Setsuna (Hajimari no Setsuna) / Baton EP features the previously-released titular single “The Beginning of Setsuna (Hajimari no Setsuna).” The vocal song is performed by the 16-member voice cast that make up Akebi’s classmates in the show. Also included in the EP are two additional vocal tracks performed by Manatsu Murakami as her character, Komichi Akebi.

“The Beginning of Setsuna (Hajimari no Setsuna)” is composed by Katsuhiko Sugiyama, who has worked on many music for anime and idol groups like Nogizaka46. The song has reached the number two spot on the iTunes charts and at the top of the Oricon Japanese music charts.
The new EP album for Akebi’s Sailor Uniform and the single “hem -After Party version-” is currently available on all music streaming platforms such as Spotify or Apple Music.
