The Akebi-chan’s Sailor Uniform anime’s Twitter page has revealed more cast members for the upcoming show, which is set to premiere in January 2022.
Among the newly announced cast members are Akira Sekine as Kei Tanigawa, Shizuka Ishigami as Hitomi Washio, Yui Ishikawa as Riri Minakawa, and Momo Asakura as Hotaru Hiraiwa.
Others include Azusa Tadokoro as Riona Shijō, Miku Itō as Neko Kamimoku, Mariya Ise as Ai Tatsumori, Shiori Mikami as Ayumi Tōgeguchi, Mitsuho Kambe as Oshizu Ebimori, Kaede Hondo as Yasuko Nawashiro, Haruka Shiraishi as Mai Togano, and Konomi Kohara as Minoru Ōkuma.

Previously announced were Manatsu Murakami as protagonist Komichi Akebi, Sora Amamiya as Erika Kizaki, Akari Kitō as Tōko Usagihara, and Shion Wakayama as Tomono Kōjo.
Akebi-chan’s Sailor Uniform is based on the manga series by Hiro, which began in 2016 and has been collected into eight volumes as of April 2021. The manga is set in the countryside and follows Komichi Akebi, who has dreamt of wearing the sailor uniform of the prestigious Roubai Private Academy, where she will study. In addition, she wonders if she will be able to make a hundred friends. The story will follow Akebi’s middle school life.
The staff includes Miyuki Kuroki (Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia assistant director) as director, Megumi Kōno (Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia creature designer and action director) as character designer, and Rino Yamazaki (DARLING in the FRANXX Ep 7, 9, and 16 scriptwriter) as series composer and scriptwriter.
Other staff include Hisayo Usui (Horimiya) and Yasunao Moriyasu (Horimiya) as art directors, Asuka Yokota (Horimiya) as color designer, Madbox’s Yūki Kawashita (Scarlet Nexus) as photography director, and Kana Utatane (Re-Main) as music composer. Capsule is credited with character retouching, while CloverWorks is the animation production company.
Additionally, Taishi Kawakami (Fate/Grand Order – Final Singularity Grand Temple of Time: Solomon co-sub character designer) and Masato Anno (VOY@GER animaton director) are the sub-character designers for the show. The two are also serving as chief animation directors alongside Kōno.
