Eleven Arts Announces English Dub Cast for Poupelle of Chimney Town

Eleven Arts announced the English dub cast for the film Poupelle of Chimney Town. The film, directed by Yusuke Hirota and based on a picture book of the same name written by executive producer Akihiro Nishino, is animated by STUDIO4ºC. 

The English cast includes Tony Hale as Poupelle, Antonio Raul Corbo as Lubicchi, Stephen Root as Bruno, Misty Lee as Lola, Hasan Minhaj as Scoop, Tristan Allerick Chen as Antonio, Candace Kozack as Rebecca, Aleks Le as Dennis and Letter the 15th, Greg Chun as Mr. Suu, James Mathis as Dan, Mick Wingert as Patch, Fred Tatascoire as Toppo, Ray Chase as Toshiaki, Kari Whalgren as Dorothy, and Laura Post as Claire, with Kyle Herbert providing additional voices.  

In addition to the English voice cast, the press release has information about the opening and ending theme.  The opening theme, “Halloween Party -Poupelle Version-” is written and performed by HYDE.  The ending theme, “Poupelle of Chimney Town” is performed by Lozareena, with composition and lyrics by Akihiro Nishino.

The film is described as follows:

Poupelle of Chimney Town is the story of young Lubicchi living among the thick smoke from the chimneys of his isolated town, yearning to see the “stars” — to know the truth — his father always told him about. One Halloween night he meets Poupelle, a man made of garbage, and together they look to the sky as their adventure begins. Spectacularly beautiful, filled with inspiring performances and splendid music and sound effects, and produced at Tokyo’s famed Studio 4ºC, Poupelle of Chimney Town brings laughter, tears and joy.
