Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles Previews Adventure Mode in New Video

A new video previewing the Adventure Mode of the upcoming  Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles game has been released. The video shows off notable story events like Tanjiro’s encounter with Muzan, his battle with Rui, and the cup game with Kanao.

The Adventure Mode video also previews the game’s take on the events of Demon Slayer – Kimetsu No Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles is developed by CyberConnect2 and is based on Ufotable’s anime adaptation of Koyoharu Gotōge’s Demon Slayer manga. Aside from Adventure Mode, there will be a Versus mode (which is also previewed in the video) where two players each bring tag teams formed from the 18-character roster into battle against one another. Versus can be played online or offline.

Sega Asia describes the upcoming game as:

Become the Demon Slayer, Tanjiro Kamado, to fight off the demons threatening humanity in order to turn his sister Nezuko, who has become a demon, back into a human, as well as to avenge the death of his family by hunting down the demon who killed them.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles is set to release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam on October 14 in Japan and on October 15 worldwide.

Melvyn originally wanted to write about video games, and he did so for a few years, starting from his college days. He still writes about video games sometimes, but now focuses on anime-related news content and the occasional review. Some of his free time is spent self-learning Japanese, both out of interest in the language and because English-translated light novels and manga are expensive. Every anime season, Melvyn looks forward to discovering new standout episodes and OP/ED animation sequences, as well as learning about the storyboard artists and directors behind them.
