Sega Asia has revealed that Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles will receive an Asia release sometime in 2021. The 3D fighting game will offer Japanese and English voiceover options as well as English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese subtitles as part of this release.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles is developed by CyberConnect2, who also developed Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot and Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4. It is based on Ufotable’s anime adaptation of Koyoharu Gotōge’s Demon Slayer manga. According to Sega Asia’s website for the game, there will be a Solo Mode that follows the anime‘s story, with protagonist Tanjiro trying to turn his sister Nezuko back into a human after she was transformed into a demon. Meanwhile, Versus mode will allow for 1v1 battles with another player both online and offline.

According to the game’s Japanese website, the playable characters will include Nezuko, Zenitsu, Inosuke, Giyu, Sakonji, Sabito, Makomo, Shinobu, and Kyojuro. There are also two playable versions of Tanjiro, with one utilizing Water Breathing and the other using Sun Breathing. The Sun Breathing version of Tanjiro was recently previewed in a new trailer.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles will be available on PS4, PS5, Steam, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
