Xbox has revealed that the upcoming Overwatch 2 and One-Punch Man collaboration will have a Tatsumaki-inspired skin for the support hero Kiriko.
The Legendary Terrible Tornado – Kiriko skin will be part of a 2,100 coin bundle that includes the Terribly Impressive Victory Pose and Terrible Tornado namecard. It was previously revealed that the villain Doomfist would be getting a Saitama skin
The announcement also revealed that the One-Punch Man anime exists in the world of Overwatch 2, and that the hero shooter’s cast are cosplaying as the One-Punch Man characters. The game’s art director Dion Rogers told Xbox, “So when you see Doomfist wearing the Saitama outfit, he’s a fan too.”
Rogers also shed some light on why the game is collaborating with One-Punch Man. “It’s something we’ve been wanting to do for a while. You know, Overwatch’s art style is kind of a marriage of West-meets-East aesthetics and values – there’s a bit of an anime look to Overwatch,” he said.
“So, being fans of anime, we were looking for a partner to collaborate with. And we looked at various studios, and then when One-Punch Man came up, it was surprising how many people on the team knew the anime, they loved it, they watched it. Aaron Keller, our game director totally knows all the characters and things backwards and forwards.”
Rogers also acknowledged that Doomfist’s “One Punch Is All I Need” line, which dates back to the first Overwatch game, was inspired by the anime.
The One-Punch Man collaboration will run from March 7 to April 6.
The One-Punch Man action-comedy anime began in 2015 with a Madhouse-produced and Shingo Natsume-directed 12-episode series. A second season followed in 2019 with J.C.Staff as the animation production company and Chikara Sakurai as director. A third season has been announced.

The anime is based on the Shueisha-published manga by Yuusuke Murata, which began in 2012 and has 27 tankoubon volumes as of November 2022. The manga itself is inspired by a self-published web comic by ONE that began in 2009.
