A second season has been announced for the Nights with a Cat short anime adaptation, which ran from August to September 2022.
Nights with a Cat is based on the Kadokawa-published manga by Kyuryu Z, which began in 2020 and has four tankoubon volumes as of October 2022. It is serialized on Comic Essay and published under the label of the same name.
Yen Press describes the story as:
When Fuuta comes home tired at night, all he wants to do is spend time with his new cat. All the mysterious habits and mannerisms of house cats are carefully reproduced in this relaxed and cute comedy about living with an adorable furball!
The first season was directed and written by Minoru Ashina (Isekai Quartet) with Minoru Takehara (Isekai Quartet) as character designer and animation director and Kana Utatane (Akebi’s Sailor Uniform) as music composer. Studio PuYUKAI is the animation production company.
Meanwhile, the cast includes Satoshi Hino as Fuuta-kun, Atsumi Tanezaki as Pii-chan, and Ayahi Takagaki as Kyuruga.
