The hero-villain romantic comedy Love After World Domination is set to premiere on April 8 in Japan, a new update has revealed. A trailer featuring the Gelato 5 was also released.
Love After World Domination is based on the manga by Hiroshi Noda and Takahiro Wakamatsu, which began in 2019 and has four tankoubon volumes as of January 2022. The manga is serialized in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine and published under the KC Deluxe label.

There are two sides to every coin…light vs. dark, good vs. evil, love vs. hate. Sometimes the line between the two grows thin…and it’s so, so easy to cross. So it’s no surprise that Fudo Aikawa, A.K.A. Red Gelato of the Gelato Five and hero to all people, just may have happened to fall for the villainess and member of the shadow organization Gekko, Desumi Magahara! But when opposites like these attract, there’s more than a few obstacles to their love…! What’s a pair like this to do?
The anime’s staff includes Kazuya Iwata (Cute Executive Officer) as director, Satoru Sugisawa (Cute Executive Officer) as series composer, Akemi Kobayashi (Dagashi Kashi 2 chief animation director) as character designer, and Satoshi Houno (Lapis Re:LiGHTS) and Ryuunosuke Kasai as music composers. project No.9 is the animation production company.
Meanwhile, the cast includes Yuusuke Kobayashi as Fudou Aikawa/Red Gelato and Ikumi Hasegawa as Desumi Magahara/Death Queen. Voicing the other members of the Gelato Five are Kazuyuki Okitsu as Hayato Ouji/Blue Gelato, Nene Hieda as Misaki Jinguuji/Yellow Gelato, Junji Majima as Daigo Todoroki/Green Gelato, Rina Hidaka as Haru Arisugawa/Pink Gelato, and Chafurin as Professor Big Gelato.
Other cast members include Kana Hanazawa as Kiki Majima, Hisako Kanemoto as Kyouko Kuroyuri, Nashiko Momotsuki as Ranran, Ayane Sakura as Anna Houjou, Hiroki Yasumoto as Culverin Bear, Tomokazu Sugita as Supreme Leader Bosslar, M.A.O as Hellko, Ayane Sakura as Anna Houjou, Chinami Hashimoto as Urami Magahara, and Fumihiko Tachiki as the Narrator.
