YURI!!! on ICE the movie: ICE ADOLESCENCE Production In Progress, Trailer Released

The official Twitter account for YURI!! on ICE provided an update for the upcoming anime film YURI!!! on ICE the movie: ICE ADOLESCENCE. It commented that production is still ongoing for the film, but no release date has been announced at the moment. 

A teaster trailer was uploaded for the film. It was previously released last year in theaters.

MAPPA is in charge of the animation production. The anime is based on a story by Mitsurou Kubo and Sayo Yamamoto. Key staff includes Sayo Yamamoto as the director, screenplay and original character design by Mitsurou Kubo, character design by Tadashi Hiramatsu, music producer (piano) by Keisuke Tominaga, and music composing by Taku Matsushiba and Taro Umebayashi.

YURI!!! on ICE premiered as a TV anime series in October 2016. Crunchyroll and Funimation are streaming the series.

Crunchyroll describes the series as:

Yuri Katsuki carried the hope of all Japan on his shoulders in the Figure Skating Grand Prix, but suffered a crushing defeat in the finals. He returned to his hometown in Kyushu and hid away in his family’s home, half wanting to continue skating and half wanting to retire. That was when the five-time consecutive world champion, Victor Nikiforov, suddenly showed up with his teammate, Yuri Plisetsky, a young skater starting to surpass his seniors. And so the two Yuris and the Russian champion Viktor set out to compete in a Grand Prix like none the world has ever seen!
