SOZO Announces Online Anime Festival Asia Singapore for 2020

The AFA – Anime Festival Asia Facebook page announced that C3AFA Singapore 2020 will be replaced with a free online event called AFA Singapore 2020 Online due to COVID-19 restrictions. It will take place from December 5 to 6.

The post states that while Anime Festival Asia could not be held physically this year in Singapore, the organizers hope that people from the Southeast Asian region could attend the event so that the “spirit of the event will live on online.”  The post also noted that the event would feature exclusive content from invited guests as well as merchandise from partner brands.

C3AFA Singapore 2019 was held from November 29 to December 1 last year at the Suntec City Convention Centre (Singapore). It featured panels for anime like That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime and Saekano the Movie: finale. AFA Singapore 2020 Online will be the first time the event has taken place online since its founding in 2008.
