On Thursday, Crunchyroll and VRV announced Funimation will be going their separate ways after a two year partnership. Consequently, programming changes are expected for both platforms. The Funimation channel will no longer be available on VRV start November 9th.
However, Crunchyroll and VRV has announced a new partnership with HIDIVE. VRV will soon host a new channel featuring HIDIVE’s full catalog of 500+ content including many highly anticipated dubbed anime in the coming weeks. Popular shows include Made in Abyss, Bloom into You, Highschool of the Dead and more.
Ellation, the parent company of Crunchyroll and VRV, in a statement comments:
“We’re committed to creating platforms with robust online and offline offerings – VRV and Crunchyroll are here to be everything to someone, not something for everyone and this newest partnership with HIDIVE is a part of that commitment.”
