Yostar Pictures has announced itself to be the animation production company for the upcoming Go, Go, Loser Ranger! TV anime adaptation.
Additionally, it was revealed that Keiichirou Oochi (The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses, The Quintessential Quintuplets) will be handling the show’s series composition.
The Go, Go, Loser Ranger! anime was announced last December with Keiichi Satou (Inuyashiki and GANTZ:O chief director, Shingeki no Bahamut: Virgin Soul) as director. It is based on the Kodansha-published manga by The Quintessential Quintuplet‘s Negi Haruba.
Kodansha USA describes the plot as:
Attention Power Rangers fans! The heroes become the villains and the villains are… well, they’re still the villains in this action-comedy from Negi Haruba, creator of The Quintessential Quintuplets. Follow one plucky villain as the plots to take down the oppressive rangers and finally fulfill his dream of taking over the world!
The manga began serialization in Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2021 and has 10 tankoubon volumes as of June 15, 2023. The tankoubon volumes are published under the Kodansha Comics label.
