The upcoming original Ayaka anime has released a new character trailer that includes a look at two newly revealed faces, the twin-tailed Ibara Ichijou and the suave-looking Taihei Makita, and the previously announced Aka Ibuki.
Kana Hanazawa is the voice behind Ibara, while Jun Fukuyama is voicing Taihei. Both characters are members of Ayaka Security, an organization led by Aka that deals with entities called Aramitama.
Ayaka will premiere this July. The supernatural anime follows Yukito Yanagi, an orphan with water-manipulating powers who is taken back to his hometown by the arrogant Jingi Sagawa, who claims to be a pupil of Yukito’s late father. Aside from Jingi, other pupils include Shinto priest Haruaki Kurama and Aka.
The anime’s staff includes:
• Director: Nobuyoshi Nagayama (Love Flops)
• Series composer and scriptwriter: GoRA (K series)
• Character designer: Misaki Kaneko (Smile Down the Runway)
• Music composer: Kana Shibue (Sasaki and Miyano)
• Animation production company: Studio Blanc.
Meanwhile, the cast includes Yuuto Uemura as Yukito, Takuma Terashima as Jingi, Kousuke Toriumi as Haruaki, Yuuichirou Umehara as Aka, Gakuto Kajiwara as Chataro Fukuwake, and Yuuki Sakakihara as Yako Amano. Takahiro Sakurai was originally the voice of Haruaki before losing the role in February.
