The production team for the second season of The Duke of Death and His Maid has revealed that Reina Ueda and Masaaki Mizunaka are joining the voice cast. Ueda and Masaaki Mizunaka will be voicing characters Amelia and Zachou, respectively. Season two is expected to premiere sometime in July 2023.
Ueda and Mizunaka join Natsuki Hanae and Ayumi Mano as main characters Bocchan and Alice in the series. Other voice cast members include Hoochuu Ootsuka as Rob, Inori Minase as Viola, Wakana Kuramochi as Cuff, Hiroshi Kamiya as Zain, Yuuma Uchida as Walter, and Youko Hikasa as Dulles.


Hanae and Mano will also be performing the second season’s opening theme “Kimi to Revue” while singer-songwriter Nasuo is singing the ending theme “Hoshikuzu Requiem.”
The returning production staff includes Yoshinobu Yamakawa as director, Hideki Shirane as series screenwriter, SMDE’s Mitsuru Kuwabata as character designer, SMDE’s Yuuya Hatano (Hi Score Girl II) as the character modeling director, and Gen Okuda and Takeshi Watanabe as music composers. SMDE’s Yuya Ishihara is serving as the new CG Director for the anime. J.C.Staff is in charge of the animation production, while SMDE is assisting as the CGI company.
The anime is based on the manga series by Koharu Inoue, which was serialized on the Shogakukan’s Sunday Webry website from October 3, 2017 to May 17, 2022. A total of 16 tankoubon volumes were released. Seven Seas Entertainment releases the manga in English for North America.
The first season of The Duke of Death And His Maid premiered during the Summer 2021 anime season and concluded with 12 episodes.
