Loving Yamada at Lv999! Main Trailer Released

A main PV and key visual have been released for the Loving Yamada at Lv999! anime, which begins airing in Japan on April 1 (effectively April 2 at 1:30 AM JST). The show also received details about its theme songs along with additional staff and cast member announcements. 

The romantic comedy’s opening song “Gradation” is performed by KANA-BOON feat. Yuuho Kitazawa while its ending song “Trick Art” is performed by Ryuujin Kiyoshi. The newly announced cast members for Loving Yamada at Lv999! include Saori Oonishi as Momoka Maeda, Nobuo Tobita as Takezo Kamota, and Rio Tsuchiya as Yukari Tsubaki.

On the staff side, the newly revealed names include Harue Ohno (Bibliophile Princess) as color designer, Tomoyuki Shimizu (Gold Kingdom and Water Kingdom) as art director, and Sakai Junko (Bibliophile Princess) as compositing director.

Loving Yamada at Lv999! is based on the manga by Mashiro, which began serialization in ComicSmart’s Ganma magazine in 2019. The manga is published under Kadokawa’s MFC label and has six tankoubon volumes as of October 2022. Mangamo describes the plot as:

Recently dumped, Akane is just about to quit the game she used to play with her boyfriend, when she meets Yamada in the same RPG. Yamada in real life turns out to be somewhat of a legend. The only problem is – he is ONLY interested in the game. As Akane’s feelings grow, will Yamada’s focus stay on the game?

Morio Asaka (Chihayafuru) is directing the anime with Kunihiko Hamada (Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card) as character designer, Yasuhiro Nakanishi (A Couple of Cuckoos) as series composer, and mito (Wonder Egg Priority) and DÉ DÉ MOUSE (Wonder Egg Priority) as music composers. Madhouse is the animation production company.

Meanwhile, the cast includes Kouki Uchiyama as Akito Yamada, Inori Minase as Akane Kinoshita, Natsuki Hanae as Eita Sasaki, and Ai Kakuma as Runa Sasaki.
