An April 3 Japanese premiere date has been revealed for Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear Punch!. The anime’s Twitter account also released a cute illustration of Yuna and Fina napping.

Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear Punch! is based on the light novel series written by Kumanano and illustrated by 029 and is the sequel to 2020’s Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear anime. The light novels are published under Shufu to Seikatsusha’s PASH Books label and have 20 tankoubon volumes, including a short story anthology, as of October 2022.

Seven Seas Entertainment describes the light novels as:

Fifteen-year-old Yuna prefers staying home and obsessively playing her favorite VRMMO to doing anything else, including going to school. When a strange new update gives her a one-of-a-kind bear outfit that comes with overpowered abilities, Yuna is torn: the outfit is unbearably cute, but too embarrassing to wear in-game. But then she suddenly finds herself transported to a world like the game, facing down monsters and magic for real, and the bear suit becomes the best weapon she has!

The returning staff from the first season includes Yuu Nobuta as director, Hisashi Ishii as series director, Takashi Aoshima as series composer, Yuuki Nakano as character designer and chief animation director, Mimika Iwa as color designer, and Shigeo Komori as music composer. EMT Squared is again the animation production company.

New staff members include art director Hariu Katsufumi (Slow Start) and photography director Youichirou Satou (White Album 2).

Meanwhile, the returning cast includes Maki Kawase as Yuna, Azumi Waki as Fina, Rina Hidaka as Noire Foschurose, Inori Minase as Shia Foschurose, and more.
