The recent announcement stream for Genshin Impact version 3.3 revealed two new characters, a variety of new events, and the addition of “Genius Invokation TCG.” This update will arrive December 7 for Playstation, PC, Android, and iOS.
Genshin Impact version 3.3 includes a new Archon Quest interlude, “Inversion of Genesis.” This quest involves reuniting with an old enemy to investigate Irminsul.
This update includes the new permanent game mode, “Genius Invokation TCG.” Players will be able to collect cards and create their own decks to challenge NPCs and other players. Features of the Genshin Impact combat system, such as elemental reactions, are present in “Genius Invokation TCG,” so players can use their experience to help them create stronger decks.
Two new Anemo characters are available in version 3.3. Wanderer, a five-star catalyst-wielder, can use their Elemental Skill to hover above the ground. In this state, Wanderer consumes an alternate stamina bar allowing them to dash through the air or increase the altitude of their hover. When this stamina bar is exhausted, Wanderer will exit the hovering state. When reacting with Hydro, Pyro, Cyro and Electro, Wanderer obtains a unique buff effect while in the hovering state. Only two of the buffs can be active simultaneously.
The second new character is a four-star bow user, Faruzan. Her charged attack can mark enemies and allies, creating a vortex at their location after a short delay. These vortexes deal Anemo damage and pull in nearby enemies and objects. Faruzan’s Elemental Burst releases a polyhedron that moves in a triangular path. At each vertex a whirlwind pulse will be released, decreasing opponent Anemo resistance and applying an Anemo damage buff to all nearby allies.
The first half wish banner for version 3.3 features Wander and Arataki Itto as five-star characters. Faruzan will also be available as a four-star character.
The second half of version 3.3 will feature the return of fan favorites Raiden Shogun and Kamisato Ayato as the five-star characters.
Version 3.3 features new and returning events, including the Test of Courage event in Inazuma. This event will include new challenges and minigames for players to enjoy. The second new event is the race event “Across the Wilderness.” This is a time challenge for players to collect balloons scattered world locations.
The Windtrace event also returns in this update. Players can play hide and seek against other players, this time with new features that allow you to keep playing after you have been captured. The combat event “Misty Dungeon: Realm of Sand” also returns with new arenas and challenges.
