Trigun Stampede‘s third trailer has been released, with the new promotional video featuring several villains.

The newly announced voices behind these villains include Junya Ikeda as Millions Knives, Koki Uchiyama as Legato Bluesummers, TARAKO as Zazie the Beast, and Ryusei Nakao as William Conrad.

Trigun Stampede had its world premiere today at Anime NYC. The Orange-produced series, which is inspired by Yasuhiro Nightow‘s action manga but described as “a brand-new original anime series,” will kick off properly in January 2023.

The Trigun manga ran from 1995 to 1997 before being followed up by 1997 to 2007’s Trigun: Maximum. An earlier 26-episode anime series aired in 1998, while an anime movie titled TrigunBadlands Rumble was released in 2010.

Dark Horse describes Trigun as:

On the forbidding desert world of Gunsmoke, a mysterious bounty hangs above the head of Vash the Stampede, and the gunslinging pacifist can’t seem to find a moment’s respite. Vash is no ordinary pistolero, packing a weapon capable of punching holes in a planet, which explains why the locals tremble at the very mention of his name. But sixty billion double dollars is no ordinary reward, and every trigger-happy psycho in creation is aiming to claim Vash dead or alive—preferably dead!

Kenji Mutou (Hello World co-storyboarder) is directing Trigun Stampede with concept artist Kouji Tajima as concept designer and original character designer and novelist Takehito Okishi as story supervisor. Tatsurou Inomoto (One-Punch Man Season 2 scriptwriter), Shin Okashima (Skull-face Bookseller Honda-san), and Yoshihisa Ueda are the series composers and scriptwriters.

The show has six character designers, including:

•Koudai Watanabe (“STUDY ME” director and character designer)

•Tetsurou Moronuki (THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS: Spin-off!, Psycho Pass 3: First Inspector action animation director)

Takahiko Abiru (Vinland Saga)

•Akiko Satou (Kimi no Matsu Basho e)

•Takeshi Ninomiya (Fate/Grand Order Final Singularity – Grand Temple of Time Solomon animation director)

Illustrator Yumihiko Amano

Other staff include Eiji Yamamori (Godzilla Singular Point kaiju designer) as creature designer, Eiji Inumoto (BEASTARS) as CG chief director, Yuuji Kaneko (Ranking of Kings) as art director, Satoshi Hashimoto (Bubble) as color designer, and Takashi Aoki and Ryuuta Koshida as photography directors.

Meanwhile, the cast includes Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Vash the Stampede, Junya Ikeda as Knives Millions, Tomoyo Kurosawa as Young Vash, Yumiri Hanamori as Young Knives, and Maaya Sakamoto as Rem Saverem.

Trigun was serialized in Tokuma Shoten’s Monthly Shonen Captain magazine, while Trigun: Maximum was serialized in Shounengahousha’s Young King Ours magazine. The original series was initially compiled into three tankoubon volumes, with Shounengahousha later compiling it into two volumes. Trigun: Maximum has 14 tankoubon volumes.
