Denpa, LLC. announced on July 31 that it will be publishing Mitsuru Adachi’s Short Game manga anthology and the special Blue Edition of Kiseki Himura’s Tawawa on Monday in late 2023.

Short Game was originally published in 2014 by Shogakukan. It collects several baseball-themed works from Adachi that were published in magazines like Big Comic Superior, Big Comic Spirits, and Weekly Shonen Sunday, as well as micro stories from the 80s.

Meanwhile, the Kodansha-published Tawawa on Monday began serialization in 2020 in Weekly Young Magazine. The manga features various well-endowed female characters and is apparently meant to dispel the Monday blues.

Prior to the manga, Tawawa on Monday began life as a series of illustrations by Himura. The manga’s Blue Edition features a B5 size and blue-colored printing to mimic the doujinshi version and also features different covers from the regular version.

A PINE JAM-produced Tawawa on Monday web anime series directed by Kousuke Murayama was released in 2016, while a second season produced by Yokohama Animation Lab and directed by Yuki Ogawa was released in 2021.

Melvyn originally wanted to write about video games, so he spent a few years, starting from his college days, doing so. He still likes video games, but now focuses on writing anime-related news content and the occasional review for Anime Trending. Some of his free time is spent self-learning Japanese, both out of interest in the language and because English-translated light novels and manga are expensive.
