Classroom for Heroes Anime Adaptation Announced for 2023

The Classroom for Heroes light novel series by Shin Araki is getting a TV anime adaptation for 2023. A visual has been released.

The show features Keiichiro Kawaguchi (The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup) as director, Kosuke Kawamura (Remake Our Life!) as character designer/chief animation supervisor, Naoki Hayashi (Black Fox script writer) as series composer and scriptwriter, and Actus as the animation production company.

The light novel series released its first volume in 2015 and will release its 13th volume on July 22, 2022. The series is illustrated by Haruyuki Morisawa and published under Shueisha’s Dash X Bunko label. A Square Enix-published manga by Koara Kishida began in 2016.

Comikey, which publishes the manga as Hero Classroom, describes it as:

“I want to be an ordinary person! Someone who’s normal! I’ve already told you I don’t have my power anymore!”

Blade is a carefree transfer student whose only goal is to make friends with his classmates at Rosewood Academy, a school for heroes-in-training. On the surface, Blade seems like an ordinary boy, but he is hiding a miserable secret with seeds that start long ago, with the defeat of the Demon King at the hands of the Great Hero. Join this new class of friends as they unravel the mystery surrounding Blade, and journey toward becoming full-fledged Heroes!
