GKIDS has announced that it is bringing the Goodbye, Don Glees film to North America sometime this year. The movie premiered in Japan on February 18.

Goodbye, Don Glees is directed and written by Atsuko Ishizuka (A Place Further Than the Universe and No Game No Life director) and produced by Madhouse. GKIDS describes the teenage adventure film as:

Three teen misfits call themselves the “Don Glees.” When the trio gets blamed for a forest fire, they set off into the woods to prove their innocence. Tensions flare as the friends realize that growing up has taken them on wildly different paths in life.

The staff includes Takahiro Yoshimatsu (A Place Further Than the Universe, Hunter × Hunter) as character designer, Ayano Okamoto (Mieruko-chan) as art director, Harue Ohno (A Place Further Than the Universe) as color designer, Yuuki Kawashita (Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro) as photography director, and Yoshiaki Fujisawa (A Place Further Than the Universe) as music composer. Meanwhile, the cast includes Natsuki Hanae as Roma Kamogawa, Yuuki Kaji as Hokuto “Toto” Mitarai, Ayumu Murase as Shizuku “Drop” Sakuma, and Kana Hanazawa as Tivoli Urayasu.
