Comic C’moA founder NTT Solmare has launched an exclusive pre-registration campaign to promote the upcoming March 1 launch MangaPlaza, its new digital manga platform. The campaign, which includes a cashback campaign and collaborations with the Obey Me! – One Master to Rule Them dating simulation game, MyAnimeList and anime/manga YouTuber Akidearest, will run until February 28.
The MangaPlaza pre-registration cashback campaign offers up to three rewards that are unlocked based on the number of pre-registrants. The first two rewards offer cashbacks of US$2.00 and US$5.00 respectively, while the third, which unlocks with 100,000 pre-registrations, offers a cashback of US$6.99, which is equivalent to a month’s subscription fee on the platform.

The Obey Me! campaign, which runs from January 24 to February 28, will see the platform-exclusive premiere of the English version of Obey Me! The Comic. The first chapter will be free on the platform’s trial page. Aside from that, there will also be free access to the original SNS-only Obey Me! Misadventures spin-off manga, as well as three lotteries with various rewards, including merchandise and an exclusive voice clip.

Meanwhile, MyAnimeList’s collaboration will run from February 7 to February 28. The collaboration involves a fan Twitter campaign letting readers tweet about manga titles they’re excited to read more of on the platform. Afterwards, they’ll be entered for a chance to win a special prize. Additionally, voice actors from the Obey Me! game will be acting out specific scenes from the manga.
As for the Akidearest collaboration, there will be manga reviews on MangaPlaza’s YouTube channel and a shout-out video containing information about the service. Another video will feature Akidearest’s visit to NTT Solmare’s headquarters and interviews with manga artists.

MangaPlaza was first announced in December 2021. The service aims to provide U.S. manga readers with access to the largest digital manga library featuring titles from major Japanese publishers such as Kodansha and original titles without previous English releases. Their catalogue will feature various genres including action-adventure, romance, comedy, drama, sci-fi/fantasy, and LGBTQA+ among others.
Users can currently access up to 236 chapters across 72 manga titles for free during the campaign, with titles like Attack on Titan, To Your Eternity, and Tokyo Revengers available to read on MangaPlaza’s trial page. Each manga will have a different availability period during this time.
For a monthly fee, MangaPlaza subscribers will be able to read around 10,000 chapters with unlimited access. Aside from subscribing, users will have the option to buy individual chapters at affordable prices. Most titles will also offer a free chapter.
