Publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Gust revealed new details for Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream, including details on the panel synthesis system and the two new characters Alette Claretie (Aoi Yūki) and Olias Enders (Tomoaki Maeno).
Alette Claretie is a procurer who sells things she finds throughout town, but is also known for being reckless and wild. Alette helps Sophie explore this new world, setting out on a quest to find Sophie’s friend Plachta, who appears to be missing, while Olias Enders, who refers to himself as “the world’s strongest ultimate bodyguard!” claims to know a girl named Plachta, and offers his services to help guide them to the atelier on the outskirts of town.
Panel synthesis will also be making a return. Players can use material that consists of an element (alchemic component) to add effects and make better items, use catalysts to enable special effects for the synthesis panel, and use the Assist Skill to select characters in the party to assist with synthesis.
Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream will release for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PC via Steam on February 24, 2022 in Japan and February 25 worldwide.
