The Twitter page for upcoming anime movie Summer Ghost has released a main visual and additional cast details for the film. The visual depicts protagonist Tomoya Sugisaki and the titular “Summer Ghost.”
The additional cast includes Miyuri Shimabukuro as Aoi Harukawa, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Ryo Kobayashi, and Rina Kawaei as Ayane Sato (the real name of the “Summer Ghost”). Previously announced was Chiaki Kobayashi, who is playing Tomoya.

Summer Ghost follows Tomoya, Aoi, and Ryo, who are troubled high schoolers that become acquainted through the internet. The three teens wish to meet the “Summer Ghost,” an urban legend and ghost in the form of a young woman who is said to appear when there are fireworks.
Summer Ghost is set to release on November 12 in Japan. The staff includes illustrator loundraw as director, author Otsuichi as scriptwriter, and Akira Kosemura as music composer. loundraw is also responsible for the original character designs and the original concept for the film. FLAT Studio, which loundraw founded, is the animation production company.
The movie is part of loundraw’s Project Common multimedia project and is his directorial debut. loundraw was recently credited with the original character designs for Vivy -Fluorite Eye’s Song-.
Prior to founding FLAT Studio, loundraw was an illustrator who debuted in 2013 by contributing to the cover of the novel Hoshi no Nemuru Mizuumi e -Ai wo Sagashi Ni-. He later contributed to works like I Want To Eat Your Pancreas and Kimi wa Tsukiyo ni Hikari Kagayaku.
FLAT Studio has previously produced several shorts including Ichiban Chikakute Tooi Hoshi, which was a collaboration between Summer Ghost and the Z-Kai education group.
