Demon Slayer Orchestra Concert Lands in Singapore in September

ODEX has announced that the Kimetsu Orchestra Concert film will be brought to Singapore. Cathay Cineplexes has organized a fan’s screening to take place on September 25.

The film will be in Japanese dub with English and Mandarin subtitles, with a runtime of 114 minutes. Tickets are on sale on the Cathay Cineplexes website.

The fan’s screening ticket includes an A2 poster, T-shirt, can badge set featuring Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and two acrylic stands featuring Tanjiro and Nezuko respectively. The post also announced that the fan’s screening is only available for vaccinated-only movie halls.

The film is part of the Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- franchise, which has since spawned a game, an anime series, and a sequel film titled Demon Slayer – Kimetsu No Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train. An upcoming second season titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc (Kimetsu no Yaiba: Yukaku-hen) is set to air this Fall 2021 and will continue into Winter 2022. Additional details for the upcoming anime series are expected on September 25.

The franchise is based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotōge, which was first serialized in 2016 in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine and ended with 211 chapters in 2020 with a total of 23 tankōbon volumes published.

Aniplex of America describes the first season as:

It is the Taisho Period in Japan. Tanjiro, a kindhearted boy who sells charcoal for a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon. To make matters worse, his younger sister Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been transformed into a demon herself. Though devastated by this grim reality, Tanjiro resolves to become a “demon slayer” so that he can turn his sister back into a human, and kill the demon that massacred his family.
