My Hero Academia Season 5 Interview Chat with English Cast

My Hero Academia Season 5 is now streaming on Funimation and episode 1 of the English dub premiered last weekend. We had the special opportunity to talk to the English dub cast members including Justin Briner (Deku), Clifford Chapin (Bakugo), and Anairis Quiñones (Mirko).

The complete video chat is now available below. Here are some key highlights: 

  • – The cast is still voice acting at home for My Hero Academia Season 5 at this time. They are also working on Season 4 and had to transition to work from home due to the pandemic last year. 
  • – Briner highlighted the challenges behind recording working from home at the beginning and expressed great appreciation for dedicated studio space and the engineers. 
  • – Chapin luckily enough got a whisper room and was able to begin recording now that Season 5 is here. 
  • – Quiñones is excited to show Mirko and for fans to see more of her in the anime. 
  • – Briner is excited to see Deku and Bakugo not ripping each other’s heads off in the same room and that their relationship has improved.
  • Chapin looks forward to the developing relationship between Deku and Bakugo, especially after the release of My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising last year.
