Jujutsu Kaisen Gets New Promo Video Ahead of Second Cour Premiere

Supernatural action anime Jujutsu Kaisen received a new promotional video on January 8, several days before its second cour’s premiere on January 15 as part of the Winter 2021 anime season. 

The PV features the new opening song “VIVID VICE” by Who-ya Extended and previews scenes from the “Kyoto Goodwill Event” arc.

Based on the manga by Gege Akutami, Jujutsu Kaisen premiered its first cour during the Fall 2020 anime season. The show’s staff includes Sunghoo Park (The God of High School) as director, Yui Umemoto (Granblue Fantasy: The Animation Season 2) as assistant director, Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan: The Final Season series composer) as series composer and script writer, and Tadashi Hiramatsu (Yuri!!! on Ice) as character designer. 

Other staff include Teppei Itou as photography director, Chikako Kamata (Banana Fish) as color designer, Miki Kaneda as 3DCG director, and Hiroaki Tsutsumi (Dr. Stone) as music composer. MAPPA is in charge of animation production. 

The first cour’s cast members are reprising their roles. As reported by Oricon News, the second cour of Jujutsu Kaisen also includes Satoshi Hino (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba‘s Rengoku) as Noritoshi Kamo, Rie Kugimiya (Fairy Tail series’ Happy) as Momo Nishimiya, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Sword Art Online series’ Kirito) as Ultimate Mechamaru, and Youko Hikasa (Symphogear series’ Maria Cadenzavna Eve) as Utahime Iori.
