Crunchyroll announced its slate of screenings and events at AnimeNYC 2019 including the world premiere of A Destructive God Sits Next to Me episode 1 and Somali and the Forest Spirit episode 1 to 3. Both screenings will take place on Saturday, November 16 between 8 PM and 8:30 PM respectively in panel room 1E04.

A Destructive God Sits Next to Me
Seri Koyuki is just trying to have a normal school life, but instead he ends up acting as the straight man to his odd classmate, Kabuto Hanadori. Kabuto is is a delusional high school student, whose fantasies range from believing he is a knight on a journey, to claiming that removing his eyepatch will release a darker alter-ego who he refers to as Michael Offenbarung Dunkelheit. Seri is determined not to let himself get pushed around by Kabuto, but it seems that this will be easier said than done! (via MU)
Somali and the Forest Spirit
In a world ruled by spirits and monsters, humans are persecuted and driven to the brink of extinction. In a certain forest, a golem – the guardian of the forest – and a little girl meet. Their journey as surrogate father and daughter to each other begins. (via ANN)
The East Coast premiere of In/Spectre will include the screening of episode 1 and 2 on Friday, November 15 at 6 PM in room 1E09. In/Spectre had its 1st episode world premiere at this year’s Anime Expo 2019.
All three shows are scheduled to simulcast this January 2020.
Crunchyroll will also be hosting a late night ‘behind the scenes’ Food Wars! The Fourth Plate Panel at 9 PM on Friday, November 15 in room 1E02. The show is currently simulcasting its fourth season.
