On October 23, ELEVEN ARTS anime studio announced Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms will be receiving the blu-ray home release treatment, coming to the US starting February 5, 2019.
The critically acclaimed film directed and written by Mari Okada will include a regular Blu-ray/DVD combo and deluxe edition. In the deluxe edition, bonus features include an 80-page booklet, a short written scenario by Mari Okada, a 3-panel display box art from Character Designer Akihiko Yoshida and more.

“‘Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms’ is what I’ve always wanted to write as a writer. I feel great pleasure as well as pressure to be able to get involved in all of the works beyond script. The interweaving of people coming together, and their eventual breakup:

Earlier this month, ELEVEN ARTS and SHOUT! FACTORY announced their joint distribution alliance. As evident, Maquia is one of the first titles to come out from the distribution partnership.
