Azoland Pictures announced in partnership with Sentai Filmworks that it will be distributing Initial D Legend trilogy across theaters in North America. Originally written by Shuchi Sigeno, the new feature movies retell the original story of the high adrenaline illegal Japanese street racing. Part 1 and Part 2 of the trilogy, Legend 1: Awakening and Legend 2: Racer will be a double feature on February 23, 2018. Part 3, Legend 3: Dream will be screening on March 9, 2018.
Sanzigen/Liden Films animated the trilogy film. The rich voice cast features many notable voice actors. Takumi Fujiwara is voiced by Mamoru Miyanoa, Ryosuke Takahaski by Daisuke Ono, Keisuke Takahasi by Yuichi Hakamura, Natsuki Mogi by Maaya Uchida, Itsuki Takeuchi by Minoru Shiraishi, Takeshi Nakazato by Junichi Suwabe and Bunta Fujiwara by Hiroaki Hirata.
