OLM’s Team Yoshioka is producing a new original anime titled Monthly Moh Scientific (Gekkan Mousou Kagaku), which will premiere sometime next January. A trailer and key visual have been released.
The anime will follow the staff members of the titular publication, which covers fantastical matters that defy scientific explanation. Chizuru Miyaneki (Raven of the Inner Palace director) is credited with direction and original character designs, while Hiroko Kanasugi (Drug Store in Another World – The Slow Life of a Cheat Pharmacist) and Akane Hirota (Komi Can’t Communicate chief animation director for Episodes 2, 4,6 et al.) are the series composer and character designer, respectively.
The cast includes Takahide Ishii as Taro J Suzuki (Monthly Moh Scientific’s editor), Kazutomi Yamamoto as Jiro Tanaka (Monthly Moh Scientific’s editorial assistant), Yuusuke Shirai as the dog Saburo, and Shunichi Toki as Goro Sato (a former elite researcher who is now part of the Monthly Moh Scientific editorial team).
