Heat the Pig Liver Anime Reveals 1st Trailer, Staff, October Premiere

The upcoming Heat the Pig Liver anime adaptation will begin airing in October 2023. In the meantime, a trailer, new visual, and main staff details have been released.

Masayuki Takahashi (Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon assistant director) is directing the project No.9-produced title with Deko Akao (Noragami) as series composer and Susumu Watanabe (Cute Executive Officer) as character designer. Kenichirou Suehiro (Re: Zero) and MAYUKO (Ranking of Kings) are composing the music.

Heat the Pig Liver is based on the KADOKAWA light novel series written by Takuma Sakai and illustrated by Asagi Toosaka, which begin publication in 2020 and has seven volumes as of December 2022. The isekai fantasy, which won the gold prize of the 26th Dengeki Shousetsu Taishou, follows an otaku who is reincarnated in a fantasy world as a pig after losing consciousness from eating raw pig liver. In this world, the now-pig protagonist encounters the kind and beautiful Jess, who can read the hearts of people.

Yoshitsugu Matsuoka is voicing the protagonist, who is simply referred to as Pig, while Tomori Kusunoki is voicing Jess.

The light novels have inspired a manga adaptation drawn by Minami.
