A new main visual, highlighting protagonist Senku Ishigami, has been released for the upcoming <\/span>Dr. STONE New World<\/span><\/i> anime series<\/span><\/a>. This is the third anime season for the <\/span>Dr. STONE <\/span><\/i>anime series, which will be broadcasted as a split 2-cour show, with the first half premiering on April 6, 2023.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The anime production team also announced the ending theme song for the first cour of <\/span>the third season<\/span><\/a>, which is “Where Do We Go?,” performed by Japanese rock band <\/span>OKAMOTO’S<\/b>. Meanwhile, the opening theme will be \u201cWasuregataki\u201d by singer-actor <\/span>Huwie Ishizaki<\/b>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Returning production staff from previous seasons include <\/span>Shuuhei Matsushita<\/b> as director, <\/span>Yuuichirou Kido<\/b> as series screenwriter and scriptwriter, <\/span>Mayuko Iwasa<\/b> as character designer, <\/span>Yoshio Mizumura<\/b> for design works, <\/span>Hiroyuki Horiuchi<\/b> as main animator, <\/span>Shunichirou Yoshihara<\/b> as art director,<\/span> Fuzako Nakao<\/b> as color designer, <\/span>Takeshi Kuzuyama<\/b> as photography director, and <\/span>Tatsuya Katou<\/b>, <\/span>Hiroaki Tsutsumi<\/b>, and <\/span>YUKI KANESAKA<\/b> as music composers. <\/span>TMS Entertainment<\/b> is the animation production company once again,\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. STONE<\/span><\/i> is based on the manga series written by <\/span>Riichirou Inagaki <\/b>and illustrated by <\/span>Boichi<\/b>. It ran in Shueisha\u2019s Weekly Shonen Jump from March 6, 2017 to March 7, 2022. Twenty-six total tankoubon volumes were released under the Jump Comics label. A spin-off manga titled <\/span>Dr. STONE Reboot: Byakuya<\/span><\/i>, also by Inagaki and Boichi, ran in the same magazine from October 28, 2019 to December 23, 2019.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Crunchyroll will stream <\/span>Dr. STONE New World<\/span><\/i><\/a> outside of Japan and describes the story as:\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

With the Stone Wars over, the former members of Tsukasa\u2019s Empire of Might join forces with the Kingdom of Science to build a ship capable of sailing across open ocean to seek answers on the mystery of the global petrification. However, before they can begin their voyage Senku and his friends need to find some key resources and push some new scientific advancements to build the type of vessel they need.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n
