Netflix has released a new key visual for the upcoming Gamera: Rebirth<\/em> anime.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, story details were released on the Gamera: Rebirth<\/em> website. The anime will take place in the summer of 1989 and follows three elementary sixth-graders and the son of a USFJ member as Tokyo becomes a battleground between Gamera and various kaiju.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gamera: Rebirth\u00a0<\/em>will be a six-episode series. Playing the main characters are Hisako Kanemoto<\/strong>\u00a0as Boko,\u00a0Yoshitsugu Matsuoka<\/strong>\u00a0as Joe,\u00a0Aki Toyosaki<\/strong>\u00a0as Junichi, and\u00a0Subaru Kimura<\/strong>\u00a0as Brody.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Gamera made its first appearance in the 1965 tokusatsu film Gamera the Giant Monster<\/i>. The film was produced by Daiei, which fell under the Kadokawa Group\u2019s management in 2002. Following a name change and \u201crenewal\u201d in 2004 and a 2011 merger with Kadokawa Shoten, Daiei split off from Kadokawa Shoten in 2013 and became Kadokawa Daiei Studio. <\/span><\/p>\n

ENGI was co-founded by Kadokawa, with Kadokawa being the main shareholder.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
