Voice actress Kanon Amane has been added to the cast of the currently airing Firefly Wedding TV anime series. The anime began airing in Japan on October 9, 2026.
Amane will be voicing the courtesan Yukari. She previously voiced Sora in the Mebius Dust anime series.
She joins an anime voice cast that include:
- • Lynn as Satoko
- • Koki Uchiyama as Shinpei
- • Kento Ito as Kentaro Ogawa
- • Kenjiro Tsuda as Mitsueda
Takahiro Kamei (Urusei Yatsura 2022 series director) is directing the anime series, with Yuko Kakihara (The Aquatope on White Sand) as series composer and Yukiko Aikei (Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop, Aikatsu Stars!) as character designer. David production is in charge of the animation production.
The historical romance manga series by Oreco Tachibana began serialization in Shogakukan’s Manga ONE app in January 2023 and ended its main story in January 2026. Twelve tankobon volumes have been released in Japan as of June 2026, with a 13th volume set to be published on October 19, 2026. VIZ Media licensed the manga for English print release.
Crunchyroll is streaming the Firefly Wedding anime in select countries and territories. It describes the synopsis as:
Satoko Kirigaya has everything a noblewoman could want—except time. With her life running out, she’s determined to marry well and make her father proud. But whena ruthless assassin kidnaps her, she makes a desperate offer: “Marry me, and we’ll have it all.” Shinpei Goto accepts, only to become dangerously obsessed.
