A main visual for next year’s MARRIAGETOXIN Season 2 has been released. It features lead characters Hikaru Gero and Mei Kinosaki behind a “keep out” tape, as well as the words, “Control love with poison.”
MARRIAGETOXIN is based on the manga written by Joumyakyu and drawn by Mizuki Yoda. Crunchyroll describes the synopsis as such:
For centuries, the deadly arts have been perfected by Masters, and Five Great Families hold the greatest power and influence. Hikaru Gero, an heir to the Gero family, lives in the underworld as an elite assassin. When his sister is pressured to produce an heir, Hikaru asks Mei Kinosaki, a brilliant marriage swindler, to find him a bride. The most challenging mission of his life begins!
The MARRIAGETOXIN manga, which placed eighth in the Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taisho 2022’s web category, launched in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump + in 2022 and has 18 volumes as of July 2026. Manga Plus and Viz Media have it in English.
MARRIAGETOXIN Season 2 will begin airing in January 2027. The first season aired during the Spring 2026 anime season.
