A final trailer has been released for the upcoming Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi limited anime series, showcasing the protagonist Lah Kara dueling several dangerous enemies. The series begins streaming on Disney+ and Hulu on August 5, 2026.
An English dub version of the final trailer was also unveiled.
Kenji Kamiyama, who wrote, storyboarded, and directed “The Ninth Jedi” episode from Star Wars: Visions Volume 1, is serving as chief director and series composer for the Star Wars: Visions – The Ninth Jedi series, while Shunsuke Tada (Starmyu, Noblesse, Opus Colors) is the director. Production I.G. is handling the animation production.

“The Ninth Jedi” was released with the 2021 first season of the Star Wars: Visions anthology series. A follow-up episode titled “The Ninth Jedi: Child of Hope” was released as part of Volume 3 in 2025 and was directed by Naoyoshi Shiotani.
Star Wars Visions: Volume 1‘s “The Ninth Jedi” episode centers on Lah Kara — a lightsaber maker’s daughter whose creations change color depending on the user. She is tasked with delivering the lightsabers to the Margrave Juro in hopes of bringing back the Jedi at a time of war.
