REMOW announced earlier this week that it has licensed the My Stepmother and Stepsisters Aren’t Wicked TV anime series for streaming release outside of Asia, including on the It’s Anime YouTube channel. The company also lists it under its alternate English title My Stepmother and Stepsister Who Don’t Bully Me.
The anime will be streamed in “select territories only” on the It’s Anime YouTube channel and Prime Video. Rakuten Viki will stream the anime in North America, Latin America, and Australia, while ADN will release it in countries and territories in Europe (except Germany and Italy), the Middle East, and Africa. Plaion will stream the series in Germany and Italy.
My Stepmother and Stepsisters Aren’t Wicked will begin broadcasting in Japan on July 8, 2026.
Keisuke Inoue (My Next Life as a Villainess) is directing the anime series, with Nanami Hoshino as series composer and Mutsumi Sasaki (YURU CAMP Season 1, 2 and movie) as character designer. NEWON is in charge of the animation production.

The historical comedy manga series by Otsuji began serialization on Ichijinsha’s Comic Pool website on November 19, 2020. Nine tankobon volumes have been released in Japan as of February 2026. The manga is known in Japanese as Ibittekonai Gibo to Gishi.
Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the My Stepmother and Stepsisters Aren’t Wicked manga for English release. It describes the main synopsis as:
Miya is the illegitimate child of a certain prominent family. When her mother dies, she’s convinced she knows what awaits her in her new home: a life of servitude and misery at the hands of her wicked stepmother and stepsisters! Yet when she finally meets the women she expects to treat her like dirt, they actually end up being…sweet?!
