Music artist chelly/reche, the former vocalist of now-defunct music group EGOIST, will star in upcoming yuri short anime Let Me Fix You as the seamstress Tsumugi. Her co-lead is fellow artist Tia, who plays the zombie Chise. Previews for both characters’ designs were released with the announcement.
The Let Me Fix You X/Twitter account also announced that the production has tapped Palumbo Giacomo as casting director and Japanese dubbing supervisor, as well as Japanese production producer and interpreter.
chelly, as the vocalist for EGOIST, performed anime songs like “Departures ~Anata ni Okuru Ai no Uta~” (Guilty Crown ED 1), “Namae no Nai Kaibutsu” (Psycho-Pass ED 1), and “Gold” (BUILD-DIVIDE –#FFFFFF– Code White OP). She began her solo activities as reche in 2021, two years before EGOIST, which was created for Guilty Crown, disbanded in 2023. Both names remain in use today, with reche being signed under the 8ACHI 6OCKS!! label.
Tia has sung for anime like Noragami (with its ending song “Heart realize”) and Kakegurui (the opening song “Deal with the devil”). She voiced Yu in the Wooser’s Hand-to-Mouth Life anime. Tia was discovered by ryo(supercell), the producer of EGOIST, through her Niconico streaming activities, which began when she was in middle school.
Let Me Fix You is based on the dojin manga by Sakura Kurihara. The adaptation is being handled by an international team, with the animator Ani directing it. Other staff include in-between checker and color designer badbrix, background art director: Kam’ kamon, and director of photography Xaryen.
The anime was originally produced by Europe-based Buta Productions with the studio’s CEO Federico Antonio “FAR” Russo as its animation producer. After grooming allegations against Russo surfaced earlier this month, the then-Buta Productions-affiliated compositor May Yamada stated that “Everybody associated with ButaPro has immediately left the studio.” Two days later, the Let Me Fix You X account announced that the production would go on “without Buta Productions or FAR involved anymore,” and that the release date had changed from May to mid-June. The former Buta Productions staff revealed that they had reorganized as the informal collective Ponbleu during this time.
The Let Me Fix You dojin was first released in 2021 for Comic Market 99. A crowdfunding campaign for a physical English edition, launched by Blu Petal, started in March 2026 and ended on April 28 with US$28,149 raised, well above its US$3,000 goal. The Kickstarter page describes the manga as such:
