Aniplex has unveiled Inherit The Winds, a historical TV anime co-produced by Live2D Creative Studio and Drive and directed by Tomohiro Kawamura (Air Bound).
Inherit The Winds follows an amnesiac called Jinsuke Tachikawa during the third year of the Bunkyu era, a time of unrest in Japan, whose reclamation of his memories has large consequences. The story is inspired by the Jinsuke Tachikawa stage play series by Yutaka Narui (also credited as the anime’s writer).
The show is advertised as an anime that fuses Live2D — an animation technology that can be seen with VTubers and in some recent visual novels — with cell animation techniques.
