A teaser trailer for The Case Book of Arne anime adaptation has been released. At only 24 seconds, the teaser doesn’t reveal a whole lot, but it does show a glimpse of the two main characters —  vampire detective Arne Neuntöte and the vampire-loving, noble-born Lynn Reinweiß — and comes with the reveal of January 2026 premiere and main staff details.

Keisuke Inoue (My Next Life as a Villainess, the upcoming My Stepmother and Stepsisters Aren’t Wicked) is directing the anime at SILVER LINK, and is also sharing series composition credits with Murasaki (presumably the original game’s co-developer, HARUMURASAKI). Akiko Sato (A Condition Called Love character designer and co-chief animation director) is the character designer and chief animation director, while Yoshiaki Fujisawa (Takopi’s Original Sin) is the music composer.

The Case Book of Arne is inspired by a 2D mystery-adventure game that originally debuted in 2017 on the Game Magazine website with a serialized format (Game Magazine is also credited as a developer). It later came to Steam in 2020. Steam describes the story as:

Arne Neuntöte is a vampire detective who manipulates supernatural powers.
Lynn Reinweiß is a nobleman’s daughter who loves vampires.

Their worlds should never have crossed, but they join hands to solve a bloody mystery.

In the darkest of nights, Lynn finds herself in desperate need of help.
Then she wanders into the mysterious city of “Lügenberg”, where non-humans live.

Lynn’s world changes drastically when she encounters “Arne”, a vampire who is called “the worst” in the city.

And tonight, a new “murder case” has occurred.
What is the truth behind the bizarre incidents that take place in a world where humanity and the bizarre intersect?

“Come on, human. You may dance merrily under the crimson moon.”

There’s also a KADOKAWA-published manga drawn by Soraho Ina that has been collected into four volumes.
