Netflix has released a lengthy second trailer for From Me to You: Kimi ni Todoke Season 3, which has also had its August 1 premiere date revealed.

The new trailer previews Sawako pondering about what being a couple is like, while Ayane finds herself thinking about her own romance-related issues. The opening song “et cetera” by imase is also previewed.

The From Me to You: Kimi ni Todoke anime is based on Karuho Shiina‘s Kimi ni Todoke teen romance manga, which was serialized from 2006 to 2017 in Shueisha’s Bessatsu Margaret magazine and is collected into 30 tankoubon volumes. The first season of the adaptation premiered in 2009 and ran for 25 episodes, while the second season premiered in 2011 and ran for 13 episodes.

The English title of the manga and the previous anime seasons was Kimi ni Todoke – From Me To You.

Viz Media describes the manga as:

Sawako Kuronuma is the perfect heroine…for a horror movie. With striking similarities to a haunting movie character–jet-black hair, sinister smile and silent demeanor–she’s mistakenly called Sadako by those around her. But behind her scary façade is a very misunderstood teenager. Too shy to fit in, all she wants to do is make some friends. But when the most popular boy in class befriends her, she’s sure to make more than just that–she’s about to make some enemies too!

Kimi ni Todoke has a spin-off with the subtitle of Unmei no Hito that ran from 2018 to 2022 and was compiled into three tankoubon volumes. The manga has also inspired a 2010 live-action movie and a 2023 Netflix live-action drama adaptation.
