A second main trailer for OSHI NO KO Season 2 has been released just a few days before the anime’s premiere on July 3 JST, giving us another peek at the “Tokyo Blade Arc.”
It was also announced that Hitsujibungaku‘s “burning” (previewed in the trailer) is the new OSHI NO KO season’s ending theme song.
OSHI NO KO is based on the manga written by Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and drawn by Mengo Yokoyari (Scum’s Wish). It began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump in 2020 and has 14 tankoubon volumes as of April 2024. Season 1 of the anime aired in the Spring 2023 anime season and ran for 11 episodes.
Yen Press describes the manga as:
Gorou is a gynecologist and idol fan who’s in shock after his favorite star, Ai, announces an impromptu hiatus. Little does Gorou realize that he’s about to forge a bond with her that defies all common sense! Lies are an idol’s greatest weapon in this outrageous manga from Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and Mengo Yokoyari (Scum’s Wish).
HIDIVE and Bilibili will stream OSHI NO KO Season 2.
