The Code Geass franchise began with 2006’s Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, which ran from 2006 to 2008 for two seasons. After the end of the original series, the franchise inspired several OVAs, a recap film series with continuity differences, a sequel to the recaps titled Code Geass Lelouch of the Re;surrection, and the Code Geass: Akito the Exiled spin-off series. The franchise has also released light novels, manga, and video games.
