The Trapezium anime movie has received a pre-release trailer on the eve of its May 10 Japanese premiere, which previews the ups and downs its main heroine experiences on her journey to become an idol.

Aniplex recently released four bite-sized character trailers for the film.

Trapezium is based on the novel by ex-Nogizaka46 member Kazumi Takayama, who penned the story while she was still part of the idol group. It follows Yu Azuma, a high school student who has her sights set on becoming an idol and imposes four conditions on herself in order to achieve her goal.

The novel was serialized in KADOKAWA’s Da Vinci from 2016 to 2018, and a bunkoban version illustrated by Tae was released in 2018.
