Seven Seas Entertainment Releases Audiobook Adaptations of 3 Yoru Sumino Novels & More Titles

Seven Seas Entertainment has announced the launch of five audiobook adaptations of several light novel and novel titles through its Siren imprint. The new audiobooks include adaptations of three novels from acclaimed writer Yoru Sumino, I’m in Love with the Villainess: She’s so Cheeky for a Commoner, and Loyal Soldier, Lustful Beast

Most of the new adaptations will be released throughout the rest of the spring and summer.

I Want to Eat Your Pancreas

Story: Yoru Sumino

The audiobook is narrated by Paul Dateh, known for his role as Wakana Gojo in the English dub of My Dress-Up Darling. The audiobook volume will be released in the English language on July 18, 2024. 

The original novel was adapted into a bestselling manga and a 2018 animated film.

Synopsis

A high school boy finds the diary of his classmate—only to discover that she’s dying. Yamauchi Sakura has been silently suffering from a pancreatic disease, and now exactly one person outside her family knows. He swears to her that he won’t tell anyone what he learned, and the shared secret brings them closer together in this deeply moving, first-person story that traces their developing relationship in Sakura’s final months of life. 

I Had That Same Dream Again

Story: Yoru Sumino 

The audiobook is narrated by Phoebe Strole, known for her roles in GLOW and Glee, and for voicing Lola in the video game Bully. The audiobook volume will be released for the first time in the English language on May 30, 2024.

The novel was also adapted into a 2017 manga that was also released by Seven Seas in English. It was nominated for an Eisner award for “Best U.S. Edition of International Material — Asia” in 2021.

Synopsis

An unhappy girl who engages in self-harm, a woman ostracized by society, and an old woman looking to live out her twilight years in peace — what could three such different people have in common? That’s what grade schooler Koyanagi Nanoka is trying to find out. Assigned by her teacher to define what “happiness” means to her, Nanoka sets out to get to know these three strangers — and through them, perhaps, come to know herself too. 

At Night, I Become a Monster

The audiobook is narrated by Michael Crouch, who is an award winning audiobook narrator known for his roles in Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh!. It will be released for the first time in the English language on June 20, 2024.

When he encounters his ostracized classmate Yano Satsuki in his monstrous state, the two develop a peculiar bond. But daylight brings its own form of terrors. I’m in Love with the Villainess: She’s so Cheeky for a Commoner

The audiobook adaptation is narrated by Courtney Shaw, who is known for narrating the original I’m in Love with the Villainess audiobooks, as well as voice acting in Transformers: Rescue Bots Academy and Fena: Pirate Princess

The first audiobook volume will be released for the first time in English on June 13, 2024. 

Synopsis

The audiobook adaptation is narrated by Stella Dorro and is a steamy romance tale filled with danger, desperation, and plenty of desire.

The audiobook volume will be released for the first time in English on July 4, 2024. 

Synopsis

Her heart already belongs to her manservant, Wallace, a soldier who worships the ground she walks on.
