McDonald’s anime-inspired promotional campaign has embraced the “WcDonald’s” parody branding that’s often seen in many anime series. Now, for one weekend on March 9, 2024 and March 10, 2024, fans will be able to experience the first real life “WcDonald’s” restaurant opening in Los Angeles’s West Hollywood neighborhood.

The WcDonald’s Immersive Dining Experience is described by the company as the “ultimate fusion of anime, entertainment and dining.” The restaurant features a series of 360 tabletop light projections showcasing the campaign’s anime characters and scenes inspired by the WcDonald’s anime shorts.

The menu at the WcDonald’s Dining Experience includes a 10-piece “WcNuggets” (McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets) set, a side of its famous fries, and the new savory chili WcDonald’s Sauce.

The event will open on March 9 and March 10 in Los Angeles to reserved guests and is located in the heart of West Hollywood at 8505 Santa Monica Boulevard. Reservations were made available beginning February 28, 2024, via the OpenTable app and website, but have since stopped accepting reservations.

The WcDonald’s promotional campaign has produced four animated shorts in collaboration with Japanese artist Acky Bright and Studio Pierrot as the animation production company. These shorts will be released through March 24, 2024. The campaign was first launched by McDonald’s in several countries since February 26, 2024.

Two episodes of the WcDonald’s anime shorts have already been released, dubbed in English, Japanese, and Spanish. They can be currently viewed on McDonald’s YouTube channel
